What is a CSA?
CSA stands for “community supported agriculture” and is a system in which a consumer purchases crops directly from a farmer and the consumer and the farmer share the risks and benefits of that season’s crop production. The consumer pays the farmer a fee before the start of the season in exchange for a share of the farm’s harvest for a defined season. The fee collected by the farmer provides immediate income and funds for inputs such as seeds, infrastructure, and other farm necessities. In return, the farm provides the consumer with a share of the harvest for that season.
How Our CSA Program Works:
Timeline: Late August/early September start time, continuing for 6 consecutive weeks
Details: Featuring an assortment of locally produced, late summer to fall blooms such as dahlias and sunflowers complimented by specialty varieties of filler flowers, textural add-ins, and foliage such as zinnias, cosmos, celosia, and eucalyptus, to name a few. Everything is grown and arranged on our farm in Rehoboth, MA. CSA offerings will be an enhanced (slightly larger) version of our standard market style bouquet. Due to our small scale, small team, and contending with nature, we cannot guarantee specific colors or flower varieties from week to week.
CSA shareholders will be notified by email no less than 5 days before the expected start, just as a reminder. Pick-up details will be shared with CSA Shareholders via email. If you sign up for a CSA with us, be sure to add us to your email address book to ensure you receive all CSA-related communication. Delivery is not available.
